Meet Dee Ann Deaton
Founder & Lead Photographer

Hi, I’m Dee Ann Deaton, founder and lead photographer of OnBrand Photography, formerly Groove Heads Entertainment. My career began in public relations. In 1998, I started as a Public Information Officer for two Arizona State departments. In 2006, I opened Spotlight Imaging, a PR and marketing firm that I ran until 2014. My photography journey began in the concert world, where a camera became my backstage pass. That passion became Groove Heads Entertainment in Phoenix, Arizona, a full-time video event entertainment and photography business that spent 19 years serving corporate clients, museums, festivals, film sets, sports, and major event venues. In May 2025, I closed Groove Heads and moved to Oregon for a fresh start and to be closer to family. In January 2026, I opened OnBrand Photography in Salem, Oregon.Today I bring my experience, energy, and visual storytelling to Oregon’s business, event, and film communities, and I am proud to call it home.Film credits include: The Warrant: Breaker’s Law, Far Haven, Condition of Return, and the reality series Chef’s Life, Happy Wife.
